Case Study

Shannon Scott Design

rediscovering the story behind elegance

When I first visited Shannon Scott Design’s website, something felt missing. The studio’s work was elegant, yet their digital presence didn’t reflect that same confidence. Visitors couldn’t tell if the firm focused on interiors, architecture, or styling. For a brand positioned in the premium space, that lack of clarity weakened trust and engagement.

The original site lacked clarity and movement.

I chose this self-initiated project to demonstrate how clarity and storytelling can elevate a design studio’s online presence. My goal was to turn a static, confusing experience into one that communicates identity, trust, and refinement, the same qualities that define Shannon Scott Design’s work.

From Confusion to Clarity

The goal was to create flow and understanding, not just a new layout. The homepage introduces who the studio is and why their work matters. The redesigned projects page then deepens that narrative, guiding visitors through each story with rhythm and intention.

The homepage was restructured to lead with clarity. The first viewport defines the studio immediately, followed by a sequence of trust-building sections — process, selected work, and inquiry. Each scroll feels natural, directing attention without force.

Reflection and Learning

The new experience reframes Shannon Scott Design from a static portfolio into a brand that speaks clearly and confidently.
Visitors no longer have to guess what the studio does, how they work, or why it matters.
Each project becomes a story, guiding users from curiosity to understanding.

Although this project is conceptual, it demonstrates how narrative structure can transform perception. By connecting clarity with storytelling, the design expresses expertise, warmth, and calm precision. Qualities that attract the right kind of clients.

Through this process, I learned how design storytelling isn’t just visual. It’s about creating rhythm, helping people understand where they are, why they’re there, and what they should feel next.
